The first week and the first impression
The first impression was good. See the snow, feel the cold whether, know news people's.
In the begining ...
Leave Brazil in midsummer, almost 40 degrees and come to Finland to -8 degrees! Having never been to Europe and a very basic English was an adventure. As in the luggage did not fit any more and I did not bring much, had to travel with his boot for extreme cold. So imagine, right in the airport of Rio de Janeiro with this boot! Difficult? No, an adventure. Arriving at Helsinki airport the night, a damned anxiety. Thankfully, another teacher who is participating in the project Vet- Teachers for the Future, arrived almost with me in Helsinki. Phew! I did not know him, just knew the Gyovanni name. When I saw gave me a relief. We left for the city where we live for 5 months, the beautiful Hämeenlinna

"In the Beginning"
"I have a good mind
take into my head
to start off singing
begin reciting
reeling off a tale of kin
and singing a tale of kind.
The words unfreeze in my mouth
and the phrases are tumbling
upon my tongue they scramble
along my teeth they scatter.
Brother dear, little brother
fair one who grew up with me
Start off now singing with me
begin reciting with me
since we have got together
since we have come from two ways!
We seldom get together
and meet each other
on these poor borders
the luckless lands of the North.
Let's strike hand to hand
fingers into finger-gaps
that we may sing some good things
set some of the best things Roth
for those darling ones to hear
for those with a mind to know
among the youngsters rising
among the people growing-
those words we have got
tales we have kindled from....."
